Airbags / SRS

The majority of cars on our roads today are equipped with a safety system to protect the driver and passengers in the unfortunate event of an accident.

SRS or "Supplementary Restraint System", is made up primarily of airbags and
seat belt pretensioners.

Most drivers will not worry about the presence of the airbags until the airbag or SRS light stays illuminated on the instrument panel.

It is most important to have the SRS system checked out on diagnostic computer equipment to identify the problem. If the warning light is illuminated, in the event of an accident, the airbags / pretensioners may not deploy leading to serious injuries to the cars occupants.

Under no circumstances should any part of the SRS / airbag system be tampered with by unqualified persons as miniature explosive devices are incorporated into the airbags which may deploy inadvertently causing serious bodily harm.

Give us a call and we can test the system on out latest computer diagnostic equipment to identify the problem safely.
